The full testimony of the 41-year-old Klementin Islamaj, who a few days ago was arrested by the police under the charge of "murder in the conditions of severe mental shock" under the suspicion that he killed his father, after the latter had killed his mother, is revealed.
Although under accusation, all his family members and residents of the village have expressed solidarity and support towards Islamaj. He was even allowed by the police to participate in the funeral ceremony. According to the testimony, it was 69-year-old Hysen Islamaj who, after killing 66-year-old Shano Islamaj, threatened and then shot his son.
"There was a lot of blood on the floor where my mother's body was. At this moment, I saw that my father Hysen Islamaj came to the corridor from the kitchen of the apartment, holding a transparent glass in his right hand, and as soon as he was in front of me, I spoke to him, telling him "what he had done" and he replied: "I did whatever I wanted, now it's your turn" and immediately after these words, he hit me with the glass he was holding in his hand on the face and nose, but without letting go of the glass. At this moment, not seeing the children there, I was afraid that the same thing could have happened to the children" , says Islamaj's testimony.
Under these conditions, on 06.08.2024, at 19:30, the arrest was made in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Murder committed in a state of severe mental shock", provided by Article 82 of the Criminal Code, of the citizen Klementin Islamaj.
The testimony of Klement Islamaj
I live in the village of Shale. I lived at home with my parents Hysen and Shano Islamaj and about two months ago my two children also came to the apartment, as I am separated and the children live with my ex-wife.
This morning, I woke up early, around 05:00, and I woke up my mom who got my bag ready for work and here I saw that she was awake and my dad, who came out of the house, took our sheep and is gone. After my mother prepared the bread bag for me, I took my "Modena" black motorbike and went to the bar in the center of the village, to the bar of citizen Serjan Myrto, after I had left it with my friend Erjon Domeri from the village of Shale so that we could drink coffee and then go to work.
When I went to the bar, I found Erjon sitting alone at a table outside the bar. I sat with him and ordered coffee, which was served to us by the lady of the bar, Adelina Myrto. We were drinking coffee with each other and after 10 minutes my uncle, citizen Nuri Tushi, came to the bar and sat down with us at the table.
After about 2-3 minutes that Nuriu sat down at the table with us, I heard noises, like people shouting, coming from the direction of my house. I couldn't make out which family member was screaming. I was worried because my friend Erjoni told me that these noises are coming from my house.
I immediately took my motorcycle and headed to my house. When I reached the house, in its yard, there was no one. I left the motorcycle in the yard and then entered the apartment. The main door of the apartment was completely open, as we always leave it, meanwhile in the corridor of the apartment I see my mother lying on the floor, face up and her back against the tiles, with her feet on the side of this door.
There was a lot of blood on the floor where my mother's body was. At this moment, not seeing the children there, I was afraid that the same thing could have happened to the children.
From this moment, I was very shocked where I tried to avoid the father, very shocked by what I saw and not finding the child, I punched and kicked the father, but I did not use any kind of object when I hit the father. I saw that the father had fallen and still had signs of life; at the moment I've calmed down a bit and regretted my blows where I gave him help to turn his body on his back from the ground, since when he fell, he fell on his ribs almost upside down. After that, I went inside the house to see if my mother was alive or not. When I approached the mother's body, I saw that she was taking her last breath and for a moment she stopped reacting. Immediately after that, I went out into the courtyard of the apartment and called loudly for the ambulance announcement.
I noticed that citizen Ilirjan Avdiu, a resident of the village of Shala, who was together with citizen Izet Dauti, happened nearby and heard me. After my calls for help, the citizens Mira Tushi and Mejdi Domeri were the first to come to the apartment, followed by many residents of the village and my family members. I want to say that I affirmed to the people who came to help that my father had killed my mother, while I don't remember whether I said anything to my father or not.
Regarding conflicts in the family, the declarant affirmed the fact that, for many years, the father used verbal and physical violence against his mother Shano Islamaj for reasons of jealousy as well as due to mental health concerns.
