The police have identified the author of the wounding of 51-year-old Agim Jazaj, which happened at noon on Monday near the "Xhura" mosque in the capital.
The author is Saimir Xhafa, for whom the blue uniforms have also published his photo, as they also seek the help of citizens to provide information about his capture.
The police have set a reward of 5,000 euros for any valuable information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrator.
Jazaj is in the hospital under the care of doctors, fortunately out of danger to his life.
The Director of the Tirana Police, Tonin Vocaj, was also present at the scene, which is surrounded by the police.
"Regarding the event that happened a little while ago, near the "Xhura" mosque, the Police services, after carrying out the first investigative actions, made it possible to identify and announce the search for the suspected author of the event, citizen Saimir Xhafa, born 04.01.1988, resident in Tirana.
DVP Tirana invites citizens to provide information about the author of this event and offers a reward of 5,000 euros for any valuable information that will lead to the capture of the author.
The Local Directorate of the Tirana Police puts at the disposal of the citizens the phone number 0694111546, guaranteeing the complete anonymity of every caller" , the police announced.
