The Special Court has left Mendim Dom in prison, accused as one of the bosses of the "Call-Centers" that cheated Europeans by extorting hundreds of thousands of euros.
Domi was arrested two days ago by the Tirana Police while he was hiding in the capital. The 30-year-old was declared wanted after the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Computer fraud", carried out in cooperation, in the form of a structured criminal group.
This citizen, in collaboration with others, has deceived foreign citizens, convincing them to invest in cryptocurrencies, various sums of money, which they then embezzled.
Domi is accused of being part of a criminal group that used "call center" fraud schemes, and were discovered at the end of 2022. The estimated damage that these people had received from Italian citizens is up to 15 million euros.
Mendim Domi turns out to be the owner of several companies such as "Mendim Domi" in the field of telephony, "Mendim Domi" in the field of construction, "NM-09" in the field of food trade.
