A drug trafficking scheme from the USA to Albania through mailboxes has been discovered by the Tirana Police.
New details have been revealed from the operation where a 27-year-old man was arrested and another was declared wanted for trafficking cannabis by mail from the USA to our country.
As can be seen in the video, the cannabis was divided into bags and hidden inside mailboxes and transported through the mail in our country.
Sources from the investigative group indicate that the drugs came by mail from Atalanta in the USA to our country, being put in cardboard boxes that were used to put clothes, which came by mail from the USA to Albania. The traffickers had used the clothing trade as camouflage. After receiving the information, Antidrug of Tirana started investigations for the red-handed arrest of the perpetrators of drug trafficking.
The Anti-Drug agents presented themselves as postal workers taking the shipment to the sender and arrested 27-year-old Ilir Sefa, a resident of Tirana, in the act. Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man from FL has been declared wanted.
The police also seized the narcotic substance about 1 kg and 600 grams of cannabis sativa, with a high percentage of THC. This type of cannabis costs about 10 thousand dollars per kilogram.
