A large load of drugs was seized today by the Greek authorities in Igoumenica, and two people were arrested.
A vehicle did not obey the order of the Greek police to stop in Igoumenica, but increased the speed while leaving.
During the pursuit, the vehicle collided with another vehicle parked in the area of Mazarakia in Igoumenica and stopped. Two people got out of the vehicle and tried to run away, but were stopped by the police.
Inside the abandoned vehicle, 66 packages with 87.5 kg of marijuana and 10 packages with 11 kg of hashish of the "chocolate" type were found and seized, in total 98.5 kg of drugs. From the verification of the vehicle, it turns out that it is owned by a Greek citizen who is in prison. The driver of the vehicle, who was arrested, is a Greek citizen who did not have a driving license, while the passenger is an Albanian citizen, who has been banned from entering Greece.
