Police have provided details regarding the incident that occurred yesterday in Bulqiza, where 35-year-old Vasil Kamberi lost his life as a result of injuries sustained after being shot with a pair of rifles by his cousin in a forest area.
The Blues announce that the perpetrator of the incident, 43-year-old Flamur Kamberi, has been arrested, while three other people who had gone hunting together have also been prosecuted.
"The investigations conducted have revealed that Flamur Kamberi, together with his cousin, Vasil Kamberi and citizens AK, HT, RK, had gone hunting in the forest of the village of Tërnovo and Flamur accidentally shot Vasil with a shotgun, where he died as a result of the injuries he sustained while being transported by helicopter to the hospital," the police statement said, among other things.
The police have seized, as material evidence, 4 shotguns (pairs), 2 cartridges, 22 rounds of ammunition and 4 cell phones.
"The perpetrator of the incident that occurred in the forest of the village of Tërnova e Vogël, where the 35-year-old was injured with a shotgun and later lost his life, has been arrested. The Police are also initiating criminal proceedings against 3 other citizens.
Specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section at the Dibër Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Bulqizë Police Commissariat and the Prosecutor's Office, following in-depth investigations to unravel the incident that occurred yesterday in the forest of the village of Tërnova e Vogël, in Bulqizë, arrested citizen FK, 43 years old, resident of the village of Tërnova, Bulqizë.
Criminal proceedings were also initiated against citizens AK, 33 years old; HT, 42 years old; RK, 28 years old, residents of the village of Tërnovo.
The investigations conducted revealed that citizen FK, together with citizen VK (the victim), and citizens AK, HT, RK, had gone hunting in the forest of the village of Tërnovo and citizen FK accidentally shot with a shotgun at citizen VK, who died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the helicopter transport to the hospital.
"Police services at the scene have found and seized as material evidence, 4 hunting guns (pairs), 2 cartridges, 22 pieces of ammunition and 4 mobile phones. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër, for further action," the police announced.
