Cocaine laboratory in Qereka/ The suspects met in a bar in Tirana, where they

New details were revealed on the show "Në Shënjestër" regarding the cocaine laboratory in Qereka. The police had been pursuing the Albanian international drug trafficking group for more than a year. In the cocaine laboratory in Qereka, 7 Albanians and 3 foreigners from Latin America, a Colombian and 2 citizens from Venezuela were arrested.

Unlike the drug hidden in fruit, this group's cocaine came camouflaged in "salted cattle hide". In Albania, "laboratories" processed it by returning it to its original state and then transporting it to European Union countries. In addition to Krujë and one of the most coveted areas of Tirana, the group's structure included citizens from several cities in the country who had well-defined roles. Some were financiers, some were transporters, processors, others were distributors.

But how did the Albanian authorities track down the Cocaine Laboratory in the village of Qerekë in Fushë-Krujë?

Who informed them about the criminal group, which had long since begun its activity in Albania? Who were these guys who had undertaken this operation so complicated, but also so profitable? Who was their Albanian mentor in South America, connected to one of the drug cartel bosses in Colombia, but who, while the latter was on international search, had landed in Albania, leading the operation to extract cocaine.

Was the Cocaine Laboratory in the village of Qerekë in Fushë-Krujë the first and only one they had built in Albania, while they had started working on enriching cocaine and their existence had served as a credibility test for the Albanian criminal organization, in the eyes of the drug cartels in South America.

A previously undisclosed fact brings to light two sister laboratories to the one seized in the village of Qerekë in Fushë-Krujë.

One in the village of Manzë in Durrës.

As well as another one in the village of Buçimas in Pogradec.

Where in both the first and second laboratories, characters turn out to be members of the same criminal group.

The same ones who had also called in 'chemical experts' from South America for help.

It turns out that they had already managed to process an undetermined amount of cocaine in these two laboratories.

The goal was to bring tons of cocaine from South America, and through these laboratories to make it possible to extract it and, once the cocaine was pure, to transport it and sell it on the European market.

But before we go to the Qerekë Laboratory, on the evening of November 24, 2024, which turned out to be the end of the journey of this criminal group that was dreaming of getting rich through drugs, what are the wiretaps of the Special Prosecution Office, which exposed and sank the entire plan of the organization, to traffic and then process cocaine through laboratories in Albania.

According to the data, all monitoring of the criminal group begins at the end of December 2023.

The time when operational agents in the field begin to monitor the movements of some of the group members.

Initially, Artjon Çaushllari.

Once a former official in the Municipality of Tirana.

Who had run Workers' Enterprise No. 3 in the capital.

But in 2017, after the LSI party he represented broke away from the governing coalition with the Socialist Party, he and other leaders left the public positions they held.

Çaushllari, who at the end of 2023 appears in wiretaps while maintaining contact with an unknown person.

During the conversations, he hints that he has held meetings in Durrës with some friends who have fishing boats.

The moment when the name of citizen Aldi Zonja appears on the scene.

This was also later one of the people detained as part of the operation to destroy the criminal group.

The two are often seen in each other's presence during this period.

As they coordinate together, what the investigative group believes was the common goal of trafficking the narcotic substance and enriching it in laboratories specifically created for cocaine in Albania.

Investigation File

On the 18th of this month, the two were spotted meeting an unknown person at a restaurant in Tirana, apparently for the purpose of a joint drug trafficking plan.

After this meeting, the two left, in a vehicle with German license plates, which was used by their close associate Erjon Duda.

As well as other characters, who would later be identified as part of the group.

But what seemed to betray them, or in some way expose them in the eyes of the operational agents who were already on their trail, was their hunt for a chemical preparation that is also mainly used to separate cocaine.

Here, for the first time, a Colombian, who had long found refuge in Tirana, also comes to the fore during these movements.

Which is often seen being visited by Çaushllari, who takes him with him on his trips from the capital towards Durrës./ In Shënjestër
