Several people have been escorted to the police station in connection with the injury of 29-year-old Elvis Halilaj in the village of Bicaj, Kukës.
Halilaj is the cousin of the Mayor of Kukes, Albert Halilaj, who is suspected of being injured by citizen Zenel Muçmata, who is the Director of the Services Directorate in the Kukes Municipality.
According to the blue uniforms, people with the surnames Halilaj and Muçmata were escorted, while the perpetrator is still at large. The police are continuing their work to fully clarify the causes and the event that led to the injury.
The fight between them started at the place called "Bicaj Agency Square", where Halilaj punched the suspected perpetrator. After the physical confrontation, Elvis Halilaj fled towards his village, but was followed by the perpetrator and when Halilaj's car stopped near the apartment, Zenel Muçmata shot him in the leg with a firearm.
