Kledian Llaho is accused by SPAK of corruption, while another former prosecutor, Çlirim Shahini, who practices the profession of lawyer, is accused of exercising illegal influence.
The Special Prosecution Office has completed the investigations into two former prosecutors and has sent the request to the court to transfer the case to trial. Kledian Llaho is accused by SPAK of corruption, while the other former prosecutor, Çlirim Shahini, who practices the profession of lawyer, is accused of exercising illegal influence.
Former Saranda prosecutors are suspected of being involved in a corruption case to ease the security measure against Pando Papuçi, who was wanted for illegal construction.
The latter, after managing to evade justice for two years, was arrested and appeared before the court for the assessment of the measure, which was judged and changed within 1 hour by Judge Edona Vajushi at the request of the prosecution.
According to SPAK, it is suspected that former prosecutors have asked Pando Papuçi for money in exchange for interfering in court proceedings, with the aim of easing the security measure against him.
These actions, documented by the prosecution, prove the existence of an organized corruption scheme, where justice officials sought monetary benefits for favoritism in the handling of criminal cases.
Llaho, according to prosecutor Manjola Kajana, is suspected of having received 30 thousand euros from his friend, businessman Vasil Bakalli. The latter is proven to have received the monetary values in the Greek state.
Meanwhile, Papuçi's prosecutor, Çlirim Shahini, is proven to have received 25 thousand euros in exchange for requesting the court to impose a "compulsory appearance" measure, while in total, 55 thousand euros are suspected to have been paid for a security measure.
Llaho requested this measure in court and it was approved by Judge Edona Vajushi, but the latter was not charged. Businessman Vasil Bakalli is also under indictment for corruption, who is suspected of having played the role of realtor with prosecutor Llaho.
