The Volkswagen "Golf 5" car that was used by the perpetrators of the event in "Don Bosco" was found by the police burning in the area of Qereka.
It is believed that the target of the assassination was 45-year-old Kastriot Elezaj, who was drinking coffee in a bar in the "Don Bosko" area.
It is suspected that the author was helped by other people, who quickly left the scene. According to witnesses, this citizen was masked and had a hat on his head. He entered the bar where Kastriot Elezi was staying and shot him in the chest.
Next to the table was citizen Ronaldo Metushi, who is a waiter in this bar and was shot in the leg. Both injured are in the Trauma Hospital, under the care of doctors.
It is believed that 22-year-old Metushi was mistakenly shot by the perpetrator, while the target of the assassination attempt was 45-year-old Kastriot Elezi.
It is known that the perpetrator shot with a pistol, with a silencer, and immediately after the shooting, he quickly left with the "Golf 5" vehicle. Initially, it was reported about a motorcycle, but the burnt vehicle in the village of Qereke near Fushë Kruja is suspected to belong to the author and is related to the incident.
The causes and circumstances of the event are still unclear. Kastriot Elezi is a person with a previous criminal record, convicted in Italy for drug trafficking and prostitution.
