5 foreign citizens, tourists in Dhërmi have been arrested, after carrying out the criminal activity of distributing hard drugs. During the police operation coded "Parts 7", 160 doses of the narcotic substance GHB (Gamma-hydroxybutyrate) and doses of other hard drugs MDMA, Poppers, ecstasy, cocaine and cannabis were seized.
Amounts of money in euros, dollars and pesos (Argentinean currency), which are suspected to have benefited from the sale of narcotics, as well as 5 mobile devices, were also seized.
" Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics of DVP Vlora, in cooperation with the services of the Himarë Police Station, following successive operations with a focus on preventing, identifying and cracking down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on the information provided by the information intelligence that some citizens who had come as tourists to the coastal area of Dhërmi, carried out the criminal activity of distributing hard drugs, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Parts 7", as a result of which they were arrested foreign citizens in flagrante delicto:
-TG, 28 years old, Spanish citizen;
-CM, 28 years old, Brazilian citizen;
-YI, 32 years old, Argentinian citizen;
-RD, 40 years old, Argentine citizen;
-NM, 27 years old, Italian citizen.
During the physical check and the check of the premises where these citizens were accommodated, the Police services found a quantity of narcotic substance of the GHB (Gamma-hydroxybutyrate) type, divided into 160 doses, 30 doses of Poppers, 49 doses of ecstasy, 2 doses of MDMA, 18 doses cocaine and 3 doses of cannabis, which were seized as material evidence, along with 5 mobile devices.
In addition, the Police services found and seized 2,610 pesos (Argentine currency), 340 euros and 400 dollars, suspected of profiting from the sale of narcotics.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these 5 citizens had come as tourists to Dhërmi and in cooperation with each other, distributed narcotics in doses, in this coastal area, mainly to other tourists, in night clubs and in various entertainment activities that take place on the coast, during the tourist season ," the police announced.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
