Bukurie Mata, the mother of Bleona Mata, who has been missing for 16 years, spoke on the show "Dita Jonë" on International Missing Children's Day.
Amidst tears and strong emotions, she leveled accusations at her ex-husband's family, saying they are hiding the truth about her daughter's disappearance.
"Bleona's father's family doesn't know why he's hiding a crime inside himself. Who knows something?! This is driving me crazy. I will never, ever give up. Only when I die will I give up. Without Bleona I have no life," says Bukurie Mata.
Bleona Mata disappeared 16 years ago, when she was only 6 years old. Her case still remains unanswered, while the family continues to seek to clarify the fate of the minor.
On International Missing Children's Day, Bukurie Mata, through tears, says: "I cannot describe this great pain. It has been 16 years since I have even seen his face! Until now, we are just waiting for the best, happiest news."
Meanwhile, journalist Odeta Dume, who has been following the case for nearly 8 years, announced that a new investigation into Bleona Mata has recently emerged.
"Since October 2018, a lot of information has come in about Bleona Mata, they have taken us to England, Macedonia, Kosovo, within the territory of Albania, and Greece. Verifications have been made, but not everything that comes in we have the ability to verify 100 percent. We are in cooperation with the institutions. Bukuria knows the latest leads. A new lead has emerged, we hope we are on the right track," said the journalist.
