The murder of Pëllumb Meta by family members continues to remain without a perpetrator. His three children are arrested, while his wife, Blerina Meta, is being investigated at large.

Amarildo Meta, the youngest son of the family that killed Pëllumb Meta's father in Shënavlash of Durrës, has denied to the investigators that he is the author of the murder, asked after the release of the ballistic report of the weapon where his fingerprints were found. It is known that the 19-year-old claimed that he did not touch the pistol and did not shoot his father himself. According to him, he was at the service station when Hygerta's sister killed his father and he found out about the incident after he returned home. The prosecution of Durrës accuses the eldest son of the family as the author of the murder, while Hygerta and Amarildon are his accomplices.
While Pëllumb Meta's sister and brother accuse the latter's wife of being the only person who killed the head of the family, as they raise doubts that other people outside the family may have helped.
