The crime took place yesterday morning (August 22) in the couple's apartment in the city of Volos, where Nakolec allegedly beat his wife to death with a kitchen utensil. The four children, aged between 6 and 18, were at home and witnessed the serious incident.
40-year-old Pandeli Nakoleci, who killed his wife in front of their children in Volos, crossed the threshold of the prosecutor's office on Sunday morning, August 24.
As soon as he arrived, reporters asked him "Why did you do it?" and if he regretted it, however, he remained silent and with his head down. In fact, inside the court, he met his 18-year-old daughter, to whom he reportedly said: "I was confused, I didn't want to do it."
The prosecutor filed a criminal complaint against him for intentional homicide against a victim of domestic violence. The investigating officer then gave him a deadline to apologize on Tuesday at 10:00, Protothema.gr writes.
The prosecutor's office ordered a social investigation into the couple's minor children, who are currently staying with their mother's relatives.

As for the 40-year-old, by order of the prosecution, the hospitalization he had last June in a psychiatric hospital and the conditions under which he was released will be investigated.
After the 36-year-old's murder, the killer went into hiding for more than 24 hours, trying to evade arrest. However, he was found hiding in the grass of a plot of land, about 200 meters from his home, in an old parking lot.
Eyewitnesses and neighbors reported that during his arrest he was shouting at the police that he had killed his wife because she was cheating on him.
"I did it right. She deserved this. I don't regret anything," were allegedly the 40-year-old killer's first words.

The 40-year-old was wearing different clothes than the ones he was wearing at the time of the murder, which he probably found in the trash. Neither a mobile phone nor a knife was found on him. The family only had one mobile phone, which was found at home.
On Friday evening, the Security had information that a person who looked like the wanted murderer, but was wearing different clothes, was moving in the area, so the investigation focused on this specific point. Police authorities were notified by a neighbor, who raided and arrested the 40-year-old.
Authorities had launched a search to find the 40-year-old, who remained missing after fleeing immediately after the attack on the 36-year-old. According to the Hellenic Police, there was no history of domestic violence between the couple, however, the wanted person had a history with the Police.
An autopsy of the 36-year-old is expected to be performed tomorrow by the Thessaloniki Department of Forensic Medicine, where her body has already been transferred.
