As part of operations coded "Before justice", Erjon Haxhiu, 53 years old, resident of Milot, was extradited from Italy to Albania.
This person was declared an international wanted by the Interpol Directorate after the Court of Appeal of Tirana, on 31.05.2022, had assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense "Cultivation of narcotic plants".
He is accused of cultivating 320 cannabis sativa narcotic plants in the premises around his apartment in 2022, which were destroyed by Kurbin Police services.
The extradited person was handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons to serve his sentence.
Meanwhile, within the same operation, citizen Valentino Gjeloshi alias Nino Gjeloshi, 46 years old, from Kruja, was extradited to Italy.
This individual was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, since in 2022, the Court of Appeal in Florence had sentenced him to 9 years in prison for armed robbery in collaboration. He is left to serve a total of 5 years, 9 months and 16 days in prison.
