A serious criminal incident within a family was prevented in time by the Tirana Police. A 48-year-old man, who was under house arrest, was arrested in flagrante delicto after threatening his wife and son with a machete.
According to the Police report, the incident occurred yesterday evening in an apartment on "Haki Stërmilli" street. The 48-year-old was arrested, while the police seized the cutting tool (machete) with which he was threatening.
"Immediately after receiving the notification, the services of Commissariat No. 6 intervened in time, preventing a possible tragedy and neutralizing the perpetrator, citizen EB, 48 years old, resident of Tirana.
During the search, the Police found and seized a machete, the tool with which the arrested person was threatening his family members. The verifications revealed that EB was under "house arrest" for a previous case related to the criminal offense of "theft", the police announced.
