Two young men have been arrested by the police of Vlora, after using fake euros to buy products in stores.
The police have handcuffed Arif Alia, 23 years old, a resident of Dibër and Demo Alushaj, 22 years old, a resident of Fier.
From the investigations, it is suspected that the two young men, in cooperation with each other, have used suspected counterfeit euro banknotes to buy products in some commercial entities in the city of Vlora.
MV, 21 years old, is also under investigation, as it is suspected that he was aware of the criminal activity of the 2 already arrested citizens.
The police seized as material evidence 2,500 suspected counterfeit euros, 120,400 ALL, 1 "BMW" type vehicle and 4 mobile phones.
"The checks and the work of the police intelligence continue, to guarantee the rule of law in the territory. A case of the use of counterfeit banknotes is struck. 2500 suspected counterfeit euros, 120 400 ALL, 1 vehicle and 4 mobile phones are seized.
The 2 citizens who possessed the counterfeit euro banknotes, who allegedly used them to buy in some commercial entities in the city of Vlora, were identified, caught and arrested.
Another citizen who was aware of the criminal activity of the 2 arrested persons is being prosecuted.
Specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, after the information provided by the police intelligence that two citizens had counterfeit banknotes and were using them in several different subjects in the city of Vlora, organized the work in cooperation with the services of the Special Force "Shqiponja" of DVP Vlorë, for their identification and capture.
As a result of quick professional actions, citizens AA, 23 years old, resident of Dibër and DA, 22 years old, resident of Fier, were identified, caught and arrested.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, have used suspected counterfeit euro banknotes to buy products in some commercial entities in the city of Vlora.
Also, following the actions, the materials were returned to the Prosecutor's Office and the proceedings started in a free state for the MV citizen, 21 years old, as it is suspected that he was aware of the criminal activity of the 2 already arrested citizens.
