The police have arrested two brothers in Mallakastër after they gave false evidence at the police station. They were injured with a knife by the 74-year-old neighbor after a conflict and were presented at the Ballshit hospital.
The injured brothers Elis Pashaj and Juli Pashaj declared that they were injured with each other while hiding the incident.
But the investigations of the police and the Prosecutor's Office revealed that the two brothers were injured by their neighbor Agur Beqiraj. The latter was arrested for attempted murder, while the brothers were handcuffed for making a false statement.
"The services of the Mallakastër Police Station immediately after receiving the notification that 2 citizens were presented at the Ballshit hospital for treatment, injured with a cutting tool (knife), went and contacted the injured citizens.
The Police Services have accompanied citizens EP, 28 years old, and JP, 26 years old (brothers), both residents of Ballsh, to the Mallakastër Police Station, to give a statement on the incident. The two brothers have stated that they had a conflict with each other while hiding the incident.
Based on the contradictory statements of the two brothers, the Crime Investigation Specialists of the Mallakastër Police Station, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, deepened the investigations and as a result made it possible to unravel the incident.
As a result of the investigations carried out, it was found that these citizens were injured with a cutting tool (knife), for weak motives, by the AB citizen, 76 years old, resident in Ballsh, (their neighbor).
At the end of the investigations, citizens EP, 28 years old, and JP, 26 years old, were arrested for the criminal offense "False statement before the judicial police officer", and citizen AB, 76 years old, for the criminal offense "Deliberate murder", and remained in the attempt" , announced the police.
