2 people have been arrested by the Durrës police after seriously injuring a person.
According to the police, the 26-year-old man with the initials M.Gj and the 33-year-old G.Gj, both residents of Kavaja, injured a person with a knife during a conflict for trivial reasons.
The incident took place yesterday evening in "Malin e Robit", where the SA citizen was injured and fortunately his life is out of danger.
"Specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes, in the Durrës Local Police Directorate, made the arrest of the citizens in flagrante delicto:
M. Gj., 26 years old and G. Gj., 33 years old, residents of Kavajë, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Deliberate serious injury".
From the investigations, it is suspected that on 08.06.2024, around 23:30, in the place called "Mali i Robit", during a momentary conflict for weak motives, the citizen M. Gj. conflicted with citizen A. Gj. and during the conflict he hit this citizen with a knife.
The citizen G. Gj. also intervened in the conflict, who injured with strong tools, the citizen M. Gj., and then hit with a sharp knife, the citizen SA, who is in the hospital, out of danger life.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues the investigative work for the complete clarification of the circumstances of the event, the provision of evidence, as well as for the identification of other citizens involved in this conflict.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions", the police announced.
