A conflict between two Tirana Municipal Police employees was recorded yesterday in the office premises, leading to criminal proceedings against one of them.
According to the police, on March 3, 2026, Alfred Xhoxhaj, an employee of the Municipal Police, reported to Police Station No. 3 that he had been hit by a colleague.
The announcement states that the conflict occurred in the office premises and is suspected to have started for weak motives related to the nature of the work.
The police inform that citizen Eugen Saliasi, also an employee of the Municipal Police, has been criminally prosecuted for the offense of "Assault in the line of duty".
"On 03.03.2026, citizen Alfred Xhoxhaj, an employee of the Tirana Municipal Police, appeared at Police Station No. 3, reporting that, due to a conflict over weak motives related to the nature of the work, he was hit in the office premises by his colleague, an employee of the Municipal Police, citizen Eugen Saliasi. Eugen Saliasi was prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Hitting due to duty", the police statement states.
