
Tirana Police have arrested two people after they were caught red-handed transporting cannabis. The two arrested are Kujtim Ukaj and Abdurrahman Rizvani.
Another person has been declared wanted, as he is suspected of being an accomplice in this criminal activity.
The police have seized 6 bags of cannabis, about 60 kg. The three young men are accused of the criminal offenses of "Production and sale of narcotics, committed in collaboration".
"After a months-long investigation, the Narcotics Investigation Section, in collaboration with the Special Operations Force Section, has finalized the police operation codenamed "Interruption 2".
6 bags of suspected cannabis sativa narcotics (total 60 kilograms) were seized.
Two citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto (one of them was transporting narcotics by vehicle, while the other was monitoring the route where this vehicle would pass).
A 28-year-old man is wanted, suspected of being an accomplice in this criminal activity.
In continuation of the work to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on information obtained regarding a case of drug sales, the police operation codenamed "Interruption 2" was organized and finalized, within the framework of which the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
U., 35 years old, resident of Kruja and AR, 26 years old, resident of Mat.
Based on information provided by police intelligence that these citizens were transporting a quantity of narcotics, the Police services stopped the vehicles in which these citizens were traveling in Luz, Fushë Krujë.
During the search of the vehicle driven by citizen KU, in the back, the Police services found 6 bags of suspected cannabis sativa, with a total weight of 60 kilograms. The other vehicle was driven by citizen AR, who controlled the road and notified citizen KU if there was a Police presence.
Following the actions, citizen SD, 28 years old, was declared wanted, suspected of being an accomplice in this criminal activity.
The narcotics were seized as material evidence, along with 2 vehicles, 2 cell phones, and a sum of money.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office for further action, for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics, committed in collaboration" , the police announced.
