A 33-year-old man in Dimal has been arrested by police after shooting a Kalashnikov in the air following a conflict with his brother.

According to the police, 33-year-old LT was arrested in the village of Gorica. The suspect was intoxicated when he got into a fight with his brother and fired a Kalashnikov into the air. Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting.

Meanwhile, the weapon has not yet been found by the police. The 33-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of illegal possession of a weapon and disturbing public order.

"The police operation codenamed "Telefonata" is being finalized, as a result of close cooperation with citizens, to prevent a possible criminal event in the family. At midnight, he shot a Kalashnikov in the air, near his apartment, after a conflict with his brother, the 33-year-old was put in handcuffs.

Immediately after being notified by several citizens that their family member was shooting a firearm in the air near their apartment, the services of the Dimal Police Station organized the work and went to the given address, in the village of Gorica.

As a result of the immediate intervention and professional actions of the Police services, within the framework of the "Telefonata" operation, the perpetrator, citizen LT, 33 years old, was neutralized, who is suspected of being intoxicated, having had a conflict with his brother, and then having shot a Kalashnikov in the air, near the apartment. The search for the weapon continues.

At the end of the procedural actions, the 33-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Disturbing public peace", and the materials were referred to the Berat Prosecutor's Office for further actions," the police announced.
