The Police Supervision Agency has detained officer Avni Uka in Debar for "Abuse of duty" and has referred his brother, Sultan Uka, to freedom for "Disturbance of public peace" and "Self-judgment", following a violent conflict in Burrel.
"From the first investigative actions carried out by the AMP, reasonable suspicions have been created based on evidence and facts that two police officers (brothers) were involved in a conflict for weak motives with citizen AK, in the city of Burrel, where they attempted to self-explain the situation, ending in violent actions that were dangerous to the citizen's health," the AMP announced.
Meanwhile, in Berat, State Police specialist VD was arrested in flagrante delicto, who was involved in a car accident and tested positive with 0.60 mg/l of alcohol in his blood.
"His arrest was carried out after at around 17:30 on 14.02.2025, while driving his vehicle, he was involved in a car accident with another vehicle, causing material damage. From the verification with the alcohol measuring test, he resulted positive at 0.60 mg/l," the AMP announcement continues.
