A 40-year-old man has been arrested by the Police in Maliq after firing a gun in the village of Orman, creating panic among residents and endangering their lives.
Citizen Kristo Agolli, 40 years old, resident of the village of Orman, previously convicted of theft and production and sale of narcotics, was arrested. At the scene, police seized a Kalashnikov-type firearm and combat ammunition, which were suspected to have been used during the shootings that alarmed residents of the area.
During the search of the 40-year-old's apartment, police found cannabis seeds and a metal detector, which were seized as material evidence. Following the actions, Dimitrios Pentazidis, 48, a resident of Athens, was also arrested in flagrante delicto, suspected of the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime", as he was with Agolli at the moment he fired the gun.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the Greek citizen had gone to the 40-year-old's apartment to search for gold with the metal detector, which was allegedly brought by him from Greece. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça for further actions.
"The Maliq Police Commissariat services, after receiving a report that in the village of Orman, a citizen was shooting with a firearm, terrorizing residents and endangering their lives, immediately went to the scene.
As a result of quick actions and with the support of the "Eagle" Special Force, the Police services located, neutralized and arrested citizen Kristo Agolli, 40 years old, resident of the village of Orman, Maliq, previously convicted of theft and production and sale of narcotics.
A Kalashnikov-type firearm and ammunition were seized at the scene.

Following the actions, Greek citizen Dimitrios Pentazidis, 48 years old, resident of Athens, who was with the 40-year-old at the time he was shooting, was also arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime."
