The appeal has upheld the extradition of Prince Dobroš to Germany, wanted for cocaine trafficking. A few days ago SPAK seized the assets of Prince Dobroš and his relatives.
Referring to media reports, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction informs the following:
The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana has held a trial regarding the granting of extradition for the purpose of executing the security measure "arrest in prison", against the Kosovar citizen with the initials P. D , from which it follows that the Basic Court Hamburg, Germany , with decision no. 162 Gs 1782/23, dt. 06.09.2023, has issued an arrest warrant for the Kosovar citizen PD , as he is suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Trafficking in narcotics" , carried out in cooperation, as a member of a criminal group, according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Germany.
The Court of First Instance of Tirana General Jurisdiction, with decision no. 334 Reg. Them , dated 14.02.2024, decided:
- To allow the extradition of the Kosovar citizen P. D from the Republic of Albania to the Federal Republic of Germany, as a result of the execution of the criminal decision no. 162 Gs 1782/23, dt. 06.09.2023, of the Basic Court Hamburg, Germany.
- A copy of this decision shall be notified to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Albania.
The case on appeal was examined on the basis of the appeal made by the citizen with the initials P. D, who requested the change of the decision, the refusal of extradition from the Republic of Albania to the Federal Republic of Germany.
At the end of the trial, today on 09.04.2024, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, composed of the panel with Judge Ms. Elona Mihali, decided:
- Enforcing decision no. 334 Reg. I say, date 14.02.2024 of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Tirana.
- A copy of this decision shall be notified to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Albania.
