A photo of 24-year-old Geri Bitri, who lost his life this morning at the Trauma Hospital, has been published. The young man was one of the 5 people injured in yesterday's fight in Laç.
It is reported that unfortunately the 24-year-old did not survive his injuries, losing his life in hospital.
A day ago, the perpetrators, Daniel Gjeloshi, 27, and Klevis Ndreca, 28, who fired the gun, were arrested.
The serious incident occurred yesterday afternoon after a conflict between young people that had started since Friday evening. As the young people were leaving the Laçi Church, there was a small collision between vehicles and then they argued with each other. The argument escalated into a barrage of gunfire in the middle of the road.
A gun was found thrown a few meters away in a pond, which is suspected to be the one used in the crime. After the incident, the injured were taken to the Trauma Hospital for medical attention, among them an innocent street vendor who was at the scene and was caught in the crossfire. It is learned that she had intervened to neutralize the young men.
The injured are Angjelina Gjeza (saleswoman) 58 years old, Amarildo Ndoj 26 years old, Liridon Ismaili 26 years old, Daniel Gjeloshi, 26 years old who are in the Trauma Hospital. Amarildo Ndoj is in critical condition.
