Two women have been arrested by police in Saranda after exploiting a minor girl for prostitution.
The 42-year-old and 39-year-old had rented two premises in the southern city where they exploited the 16-year-old. Police inform that sums of money obtained from illegal activity were found in the rented premises.
"After 2 months of investigations using proactive methods, the operation codenamed "Silent Watch" is finalized."
Two citizens who exploited a minor citizen for prostitution were arrested.
A sum of money suspected to have been gained from this illegal activity is seized.
As a result of investigations conducted using proactive methods, over the course of 2 months, by the Traffic Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Saranda Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, the police operation codenamed "Silent Watch" was finalized.
During the operation, the following citizens were arrested and handcuffed:
SO, 42 years old and LD, 39 years old, both residents of Saranda.
From the investigative actions it is suspected that these citizens have exploited a 16-year-old girl for prostitution. During the inspections in two premises rented by them, in neighborhoods no. 3 and no. 4, in Saranda, where prostitution was practiced, a sum of money suspected of having been gained from this illegal activity was found, which was seized as material evidence.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Saranda, for further action," the police announced.
