In yesterday's hearing, the judge accepted the request of the deputy prosecutor and the civil party, the family members of the four victims. It was agreed that the report should be completed on December 10.
Lame has been accused of multiple street murders. In a report published a few days ago, Lame was declared incompetent to participate in the trial as a "result of post-traumatic neurological damage with behavioral deficits to be re-evaluated".
Lame is the only survivor of that night's tragic accident. He spent some time in a coma in intensive care. At the end of December he woke up and was taken to a special post-trauma rehabilitation center. The prosecutor asked for the security measure of house arrest in a care center, but the court rejected it. But later, the Court of Appeal released Lamen and he has now been brought to Albania.
We remind you that the tragic accident happened on October 30 of last year. Orjol Lame, his wife Shane, son Mattias and the 22-year-old's siblings Rejana and Resati were returning from a dinner in Reggio Emilia. But their car crashed into an uninhabited house. As a result of the strong collision, Shane, Mattias, Rejana and Resati lost their lives immediately.
In addition to driving while drugged and drunk, Lame had a criminal record after being arrested for drug distribution. According to Italian media, Lame could never get an Italian driver's license due to a deportation order. For this reason, on October 30, he was giving the car, which was uninsured and in the name of a person who had passed away.
