A tragic event happened last night on the "Ibrahim Rugova" highway, where three pedestrians were hit to death by a driver who lost control of the car.
Three people were also injured in the incident. According to the first reports, it is suspected that some people were holding car races, while other young people had gathered to watch them. The incident happened around 22:45.
The police announced through a press release that the victims are three pedestrians.
"While driving on the highway, the Kosovar suspect allegedly lost control of the car and as a result hit three Kosovar male pedestrians. As a result, the three people hit lost their lives, while three others suffered injuries and were sent for medical treatment. The prosecutor of the case also came to the scene and with his decision, the (three) dead bodies, after their death was confirmed by the medical team, were sent to the IML for autopsy," the announcement states.
The police announced that by order of the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody. Investigations related to this accident are being carried out by the relevant police units.
