The Italian police have hit a criminal drug organization, composed mainly of Albanians. At the head of the gang were two Albanian brothers living in Fiesole, who had set up the logistics base for the drug loads moving towards northern Italy, mainly in Tuscany, local media reports.

The investigation, carried out in less than two months, made possible the arrest of several people and the seizure of 11 kilograms of cocaine, 1 kg of marijuana and about 50 thousand euros in cash. The two brothers used an Italian courier to take cocaine shipments overseas.

They used specially modified cars to secretly transport drugs imported by land into Italy from Belgium and the Netherlands. The 11 arrest warrants were issued against the 51-year-old courier from Pistoia, two Albanian brothers aged 48 and 39 and other persons of Albanian origin.
