A 36-year-old Albanian was sentenced to two years in prison by the court in Middelburg in the Netherlands. In April, the Albanian tried to remove 33 kg of cocaine from a container in the port of Vlissingen.

The Albanian was arrested on the night of April 16 after he and another person behaved suspiciously in a car in Vlissingen-Oost.

There were break-in tools in the car. The case against the co-driver of the vehicle has meanwhile been dismissed. Two weeks ago, the 36-year-old from Albania stated that he really intended to take drugs from a container, but changed his mind, since he could not enter the port area.

He was also sentenced to 21 months in prison in 2020 for trafficking hard drugs and possession of firearms. In addition, there is still a 200-day sentence for another case.
