A serious incident occurred overnight in the village of Dorëz, in the Librazhd Center Administrative Unit, where a guesthouse was engulfed in flames and suffered extensive material damage.
The police were notified of the fire at 10:46 p.m. After the alarm was raised, firefighters, police, and local residents responded to the scene and worked to bring the flames under control.
The operation involved 12 firefighters with two vehicles, who worked for several hours in difficult conditions. They managed to extinguish the fire at around 03:00 on the morning of April 10.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the fire may have been caused by a fault in the depreciated electrical network. The spread of the flames was favored by the wooden construction of the building.
As a result, about 80 square meters of the guesthouse were burned, including the kitchen, bedroom and toilet. The building was used for tourist activities.
No injuries were reported from the incident. Authorities are continuing their efforts to fully clarify the circumstances.
