An unusual event has been recorded in Golem, where employees of the Task Force of the General Directorate of Taxes are suspected of being kept locked up for a considerable time within the premises of a resort, while they were exercising control as part of their duty.
Following a report made by Tax inspectors, Criminal Investigation specialists at the Kavaja Police Station arrested five people in flagrante delicto, suspected of the criminal offense of "Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty".
The resort administrator, Saimir Ndreca, the chief of finance, Zaho Jaçaj, the chief of security, Artan Kasa, and the two security employees, Hamdi Sula and Bujar Agolli, were arrested.
According to the Police, the five arrested suspects are suspected of having, in collaboration with each other, on July 18, 2026, obstructed the employees of the Task Force of the General Directorate of Taxes during the performance of their duties and kept them locked up for a considerable time within the resort premises.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances of this event.
