Vlora Police have published footage of the action at the hotel in Orikum, where Flodian Plaku, suspected of the murder of Gentjan Bejtja, was hiding.
During the physical search and in the premises where he was staying, a pistol firearm, with a magazine and 17 cartridges, 25,000 euros in cash and 7 mobile phones were found and seized. As can be seen from the video, Plaku had placed two pistols on the table where he was having lunch.
During the police intervention in the hotel where he was hiding, along with citizen Flodian Plaku, citizen Julian Aliaj alias Julian Pashaj, 43 years old, was also arrested, who during the operation was caught with a pistol firearm with a magazine of cartridges.
"During in-depth investigations into this case, it was found that citizens A. L, 36 years old, resident of Vlora, A. D, 31 years old, resident of Vlora and L. D, 57 years old, resident of Tirana, have assisted in the shelter, communication and movement of the wanted citizen Flodian Plaku. They were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of Supporting the perpetrator of the crime," the police announced.
For the 42-year-old, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana has set the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder", committed in collaboration and "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons and ammunition".
The old man is accused of the murder of citizen Gentjan Bejtja, who was shot with a firearm inside the perimeter of his apartment. The investigative actions have resulted in the perpetrators approaching the victim's apartment in a "Land Rover" vehicle and after committing the murder, they left for the village of Hasan, where they burned the vehicle.
