Journalist Aldo Kozarja shed light on how the murder was carried out with a gun inside the premises of the high security prison in Peqin.
Kozarja said that the scene is similar to a movie, as Sokol Mjacaj carried out the execution with a machine gun and then took hostages with the gun without bullets in the meeting room.
Kozarja emphasized that Mjacaj shot the victim Arben Lleshi with a bullet in the neck and chest, while another bullet went through the injured Indrit Shaqja in the abdomen.
“It is for a movie script, from those beautiful Hollywood movies.
Sokol Mjacaj, convicted for the murder of two Czech tourists, had a pistol with a grinder in which there were 5 cartridges, two of which he shot at the victim. While a bullet was fired in the direction of Indri Shaqe, the bullet penetrated his abdomen.
The victim had two bullets, one in the neck, and another in the chest. The other two projectiles that came out of Sokol Mjacaj's machine gun have not been found. They may have been around, but the investigative team also had a hard time since we are dealing with a high security prison", he said.
Kozarja emphasized that after committing the crime, the other prisoners tried to neutralize him, but they let him escape for fear that there were still bullets in the nest.
He went to the meeting room where he held hostages and family members of the convicts for about an hour.
“It is clearly seen from the footage that some other prisoners, after he shot at the victim and the wounded, other people tried to stop him. Even though he had a gun in his hand, he exerted pressure in an honorable manner, since there were no more bullets inside the gun. They then allowed him to enter the room where he handed himself over to the prison director", he said in "Euronews".
