The country has been rocked by knife murders today. After two serious incidents in Durrës and Tirana, a 42-year-old man was shot to death in the Berat Castle neighborhood.
The crime occurred at around 3:10 PM after a conflict between two people.
Those involved in the fight are 63-year-old Kristo Memo, who stabbed 42-year-old Keli Hoxha, after a conflict over weak motives.
Police have surrounded the area and are working to apprehend the perpetrator and fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
" At around 15:10, in the Kalasë neighborhood, citizen KM, alias KH, 63 years old, resident of the "Barrikadë" neighborhood, Berat, is suspected of having, during a conflict for weak motives, struck citizen KH, 42 years old, resident of Tirana, with a cutting tool, who lost his life.
Police services have launched a manhunt for the perpetrator and are searching the area for his capture.
"The investigation team continues to work to determine the circumstances and fully document the event ," the police announced.
