The Public Prosecutor's Office in Switzerland has arrested 5 people in two separate operations related to drug trafficking.
The investigations, conducted in recent days, involved a 40-year-old Albanian, a 23-year-old Italian and three Swiss, aged 37, 22 and 21 respectively.
The five people are suspected of being involved in a drug trafficking operation that is said to have particularly affected the Sopraceneri area, in Ticino. During the checks, approximately one hundred grams of cocaine and several thousand francs, believed to be the proceeds of illegal trafficking, were found.
The investigations were carried out in collaboration with the Tre Valli Police and stem partly from an operation that took place in the first half of October, which had already led to several arrests linked to the same criminal network, Swiss media reports.
Authorities emphasize that, due to the ongoing investigation, no further information will be released regarding the details of the investigation or the specific roles of the individuals involved.
