The Tirana police announced today that the green tablet, which was suspected of making children sleepy if consumed, is not a pricotropic substance, but turns out to contain vitamin E.
The alarm was given after a teacher found the tablet from a 9-year-old school student, while it was hinted on the network that it put children to sleep if consumed, raising strong suspicions that the tablet had psychotropic substances.
Journalist Igli Çelmeta, giving more details, said that the tablet was found in a child's pocket and then the school director informed the parents.
Referring to the police sources who investigated the case, Çelmeta stated that no child has consumed it.
"The child took the tablet home and put it in his pocket. The child's father suffered from mental health problems and used medication. The police took the substance in the form of a tablet from the latter to do the analysis, where it turned out that it is not a psychotropic substance", informed the journalist Çelmeta.
