Sessions for the evaluation of the security measure for Marklen Haka alias Marklen Aliu, suspected of several serious criminal offenses, have started in the Special Court.

The 33-year-old was arrested on Friday in the area of ​​Nikla in Fushë-Kruje after he was wanted in May during the coded operation "Revanshi" where 50 arrest warrants were signed for the heads of organized crime in the country.

Marklen Haka is accused of attempted murder with premeditation against Durim Bami, and also collaborated with other people for the murder of former MP Arben Ndoka.

There have been several assassination attempts against Haka, the most serious being the one on September 21, 2019 where his aunt lost her life. At that time, a Kalashnikov was fired in the direction of Marklen Haka's apartment.

Who is Marklen Haka?

Marklen Haka is not an unknown name for the State Police. In the police files, he was arrested several times for various criminal offences, while he was the target of two gun attacks.

He also escaped an assassination attempt in 2019, where his aunt, 50-year-old Shpresa Basha, was killed, who protected her grandson with her body. The young man was shot with 100 bullets, while Haka had only been released from prison for two months.

Mariglen Haka ended up in prison for the first time when he was 20 years old, suspected of a serious criminal offense, that of murder.

He was arrested on June 29, 2011, suspected by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office of being the author of the murder of businessman NZ, on the evening of June 13 of the same year, in one of the bars in the former Block in the capital.

Accompanied after the event, the arrested Mariglen Haka denied the murder and claimed that he was not in Tirana on the day of the event. However, Haka was released after a few months, as it was not possible to prove the criminal offense for which he was arrested.

On September 12, 2018, Mariglen Haka was arrested together with her father and two other people, in a sensational operation, during which special forces surrounded Nikla and several other villages of Kruja, escorting dozens of people, but who managed to found only a few illegal weapons. In connection with this arrest, Haka was sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment.

With a decision dated April 9, 2019, the Court of Kruja sentenced Haka to 1 and a half years in prison, but with a shortened trial he was finally sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment. He completed his sentence in July 2019.

The Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, reacted later, saying that some other people are accompanying him.
