A 19-year-old man has been arrested by the "Eagle" special forces after being caught carrying a firearm during a check in Shkodra.
The young man was caught red-handed in the "Guerile" neighborhood, while police services during patrol observed two people who, upon seeing the officers, ran away.
After the pursuit, the police detained and physically searched 19-year-old Bajram Hoxha, who was found in possession of a firearm, a pistol, cartridges and a knife.
At the end of the actions, the young man was arrested in flagrante delicto by the Crime Investigation specialists at the Shkodra Police Station. Meanwhile, another citizen, the 29-year-old with the initials E. Ç., was proceeded at large for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime".
The materials have been referred to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office for further action.
"The "Eagle" Special Force services, in continuation of the work to identify and apprehend citizens who circulate with firearms without a permit, based on information obtained on the operational route, after midnight, in the "Guerile" neighborhood, during patrol, have ascertained 2 citizens who, as soon as they saw the Police services, ran away.
After following and physically searching the BiH citizen, the Police services found a firearm, a pistol, combat ammunition and a cutting tool (knife).
Following procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Shkodra Police Commissariat arrested a 19-year-old BiH citizen, residing in Shkodra, in flagrante delicto.
Also, citizen E. Ç., 29 years old, was prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime", the police announced.
