The court of Vlora has left in prison the 7 members of the criminal group who were arrested during the operation in Vlora, where 500 kg of cannabis were seized.
The arrested are: Idriz Meminaj, Romir Meminaj, Emanuel Meminaj, Nertil Gjoni, Xuliano Gjoni Babice, Laurent Likaj and Altin Meci.
The session for the seven arrested persons started around 1 pm and lasted for almost 90 minutes. The court thus accepted the prosecution's request, while the hearing was directed by judge Eranda Cufo.
The coded operation "Reset" made it possible to seize about 500 kg of narcotic cannabis sativa divided into 24 packages.
The drugs would be transported in a van and then via a boat would be sent via waterways to Turkey.
Meanwhile, several other citizens, residents of Vlora and Tirana, are being sought, whose names are not made public, because the investigation is ongoing.
The drugs were kept in the warehouse of Idriz and Romir Meminaj. After it was packed, it was being transported by the vehicle driven by Nertin Gjoni, which was stopped in the neighborhood on January 11.
During the inspections of the perpetrators' residences, two firearms, four vehicles and 8 mobile phones were seized, according to the police.
The suspects operated in the form of a criminal group, each having their own role in packaging, packaging and transporting the narcotics overseas.
