The Fier Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigations and sent a father and son, accused of attempted "premeditated murder", to trial, as well as for illegal possession of weapons.
According to the official announcement, Afrim Cimili and Ali Cimili have been charged, who are suspected of having committed the criminal offense in collaboration.
Investigations show that the incident occurred about a year ago, on April 10, 2025, after a previous conflict between Ali Cimili and citizen Hysen Mërnica.
It is suspected that the perpetrators ambushed the latter while he was riding a motorcycle with his mother, Suzana Mërnica.
According to the evidence, Hysen Mrnica was shot nine times with a firearm, while the perpetrators were driving two different vehicles. The investigative file states that one of them was driving a Toyota and was shooting with a firearm, while the other, who was traveling in a Mercedes-Benz, used a pistol.

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier has completed the investigations and is sending citizens AC and AC (father and son) to trial for the criminal offense of 'Premeditated Murder' committed in collaboration and remaining in the attempted stage and 'Illegal Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition' provided for by Articles 78, 25, 22 and 278, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
From the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 474, it was proven that the defendants AC and AC, due to a previous conflict between the defendant AC (son/son) and the victim HM, while driving two different vehicles, ambushed the victim HM, who was traveling in a motorcycle with his mother SM, shooting him 9 (nine) times while they were traveling in their respective vehicles.
Specifically, the defendant AC, shortly before the incident occurred, was with his father, the defendant AC. During this time, they exchanged on the road with the victim HM and ascertained his movement itinerary. In these circumstances, the two defendants together prepared the conditions for the commission of the criminal offense and committed it. The defendant AC, driving a “Toyota” vehicle, fired a firearm at the victims, while the other defendant AC, driving a “Mercedes-Benz” vehicle, fired a pistol at the victims.
In addition, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier expresses its full commitment to the investigation and legal accountability of persons who commit criminal offenses against life and health.
