The police have solved the incident that occurred yesterday evening in Memaliaj, where 30-year-old Endri Goxhaj was shot dead and 25-year-old Dali Nela was injured.
Following investigations, police have arrested Dani Nela and Aldo Kalemi on charges of intentional murder and illegal possession of weapons. Meanwhile, Ermal Mataj, 41, has been arrested for "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth."
Also wanted are two brothers Donaldo Nela, 29 years old and Marioldo Nela, 28 years old, suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder of Endri Goxhaj. Meanwhile, Julian Kalemi, 44 years old, has been prosecuted at large for making false statements to the prosecutor and Gëzim Qëndraj, 49 years old, for intimidation.
The incident is reported to have occurred after a momentary physical conflict, involving citizens Donaldo, Dali and Marjaldo Nela, Aldo Kalemi, Julian Kalemi, who clashed with Gëzim Qëndraj and Endri Goxhaj.
During the conflict, Endri Goxhaj is suspected of shooting Dali Nela, who was injured. Afterwards, Dali Nela's two brothers, Donaldo and Marjaldo Nela, are suspected of shooting Endri Goxhaj, who, as a result, lost his life during transportation to the hospital.
Donaldo and Marjaldo Nela immediately left the scene by vehicle, while they have already been declared wanted by the police.
Police have seized as evidence 1 pistol, with a cartridge in the chamber, ready to fire, with which the victim is suspected of injuring the 25-year-old. 1 magazine with cartridges, combat ammunition, 2 vehicles, 2 motorcycles, 4 cell phones and other items from the scene have also been seized.

The circumstances of the incident, which occurred on the evening of 21.04.2026, in Memaliaj, where citizen EG was killed with a gunshot and citizen DN was injured, are being clarified.
Specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Gjirokastra Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office, continued in-depth investigations with the aim of fully clarifying the circumstances of the incident that occurred last night in Memaliaj.
As a result of the investigations, the following citizens were arrested:
DN, 25 years old and AK, 47 years old, both residents of Memaliaj, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition";
EM, 41 years old, resident of Memaliaj, for the criminal offense of "Acts that hinder the discovery of the truth".
Citizen DN, 29 years old, and his brother, citizen MN, 28 years old, were also declared wanted, both for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition".
Also, criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen JK, 44 years old, resident of Memaliaj, for the criminal offense of "False statements before the prosecutor", as well as against citizen GQ, 49 years old, resident of Memaliaj, for the criminal offense of "Intimidation".
The investigative actions resulted in a momentary physical conflict last night, in which citizens DN, MN, DN, AK and JK, as well as citizens GQ and EG, were involved.
During the conflict, it is suspected that citizen EG fired a gun at citizen DN (already arrested), who was injured and continues to be under the care of doctors, out of danger to his life.
Subsequently, the 2 brothers of citizen DN (the 2 citizens declared wanted, DN, 29 years old and MN, 28 years old), are suspected of having fired a firearm at citizen EG (who, as a result, lost his life during transportation to the hospital).
Both of these citizens immediately left the scene by vehicle, while intensive work continues to capture them.
Seized as material evidence are: the firearm pistol (with a cartridge in the chamber, ready to fire), with which it is suspected that citizen EG (who later lost his life) injured citizen DN, 1 comb with cartridges, combat ammunition, 2 vehicles, 2 motorcycles, 4 mobile phones and other items from the scene, which will serve to continue the investigation. The procedural materials were referred to the Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office for further action.
