Gjovalin Prendi, the father of Rean Brahim alisa (Sidorel Prendi), was killed in front of his bar in the village of Pllanë in Lezha by a mafia assassination. But this is not the first time he has been assassinated. 4 years ago, Gjovalin Prendi's bar was attacked twice, once with explosives and once with firearms, but no one was injured. He was the father of Roan Brahim executed a year ago in Greece, in front of his wife and son.
Regarding his execution in Greece, suspicions were that the killers periodically followed his partner and child to Greece until they managed to execute the 32-year-old.
For three years, Roan Brahimi had left Albania to hide from justice and possible revenge from rivals, while he was known as an enemy of Ervis Martinaj.
The assassination attempt on his former friend, Ylli Brakimi in Milot, where Klisman Peçi was killed, drove him from Albania, taking refuge in the United Arab Emirates. But his opponents found him in a neighborhood in Athens, where he had gone to celebrate Easter, and in a mafia assassination attempt, two people on a motorcycle approached him and shot him to death. At the time of the incident, his partner and their minor son were next to him.
The investigation is focused on revenge, as the 32-year-old, also known as Sidorel Prendi, had a dangerous criminal record in Albania. The armed clashes date back to 2014, when his two cousins, Klodian Ndreca and Taulant Prendi, were killed in an assassination attempt and Aurel Prendi was injured.
In 2020, unidentified persons opened fire at his father's bar, but no one was injured. Brahimi was also wanted by the Albanian police in 2021, as it was suspected that together with Ramazan Rraja and Alesio Dobrozi, they entered a bar in Zejme, Lezha, armed with guns, terrorized the customers and demanded the owner.
Although the police have not documented it, Rohan Brahimi was known as the opponent of Ervis Martinaj, missing since 2022, where information speaks of a physical fight between them. Based on this information, Roan Brahimi was suspected of the murder of Brilant Martinaj and two others, on July 17, 2022, as well as the event 5 days later, where an attempt was made to eliminate his former friend, Ylli Brahimi, but Klisman Preçi was killed.
The assassination occurred as the two were returning home in an armored car. In Roan Brahimi's dark past, the police of both countries will try to find and document the name of the author or the person who ordered the murder that shocked Athens.
