Alfred Vefa who killed his wife two days ago was found dead in an isolated area of San Casciano this morning.
Vefa shot himself with a pistol. The car was abandoned in a different area from where the man was later found. From what has been explained, around 4 am, in an isolated area of the municipality of San Casciano, in Val di Pesa, a citizen reported a suspicious car, parked and abandoned. The Carabinieri who intervened determined that it was Alfred Vefa's car. A quick search was organized in the surrounding areas which then led to the discovery, at 6am, of the man's lifeless body.
The police did not find any document in the car, but seized the mobile phone, which will be opened in the following hours, Italian media write. To kill himself, the man used the gun with which he shot his ex-wife.
The man had no documents, not even money, which he had left at his home in Castelfiorentino, which is very close to the scene of the murder. His cell phone had been turned off an hour before the crime. According to the carabinieri, led by prosecutor Ornella Galeotti, immediately after the woman's murder, Alfredi drove for several hours and then went to hide in the San Casciano area.
Alfred Vefa was 44 years old and worked as a mason. Every morning he went to drink coffee in a bar five hundred meters from the house he shared with his ex-wife. His Facebook profile is practically inaccessible, but it wasn't always like that: for example, there are photos with his ex-partner published in 2017, which were then made private
Very close to his 17-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter, the man lived in Castelfiorentino for several years.
