A young Albanian who worked as a "gardener" on a cannabis plantation in the United Kingdom was discovered by the police after paying for the electricity.
Albanian Krisjan Kumaraku was discovered after the police raided his house and found clues to continue the investigation.
According to foreign media, after the police check in December of last year, it was discovered that a cannabis plantation had been set up inside it where 3 rooms were adapted for drug cultivation.
It is learned that a total of about 150 cannabis plants were found along with all the necessary equipment for growing and processing the narcotic substance, which is estimated to be worth about 60,000 pounds.
Officers reportedly found several bills for electricity and council tax payments, which had been made at local outlets. The police checked the cameras to see who had made the relevant payments and identified the young Albanian Kumaraku.
During his arrest, the 26-year-old's apartment keys, two mobile phones and around 300 British pounds were found.
After his arrest he said he arrived in the UK from France in the back of a lorry in March 2023 and owed money to those who had transported him. Kumarak added that he was told to take care of the plants and pay the household bills "or there would be consequences".
