The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has reacted on social networks to the assassination attempt in Memaliaj and the capture of an armed person in Lezhë.
He says that the highest leaders of the State Police are in Memaliaj, where at midnight on Saturday, in a well-organized assassination attempt against the two Kalemi brothers, 3 people were killed and a fourth was injured.
On the other hand, he said that a serious criminal event was prevented in Lezha.
" It is the main task of the State Police to prevent criminal events, by assessing the risk and engaged in disclosing old criminal events.
It is these old criminal events that are a potential risk for new events. While the top leaders of the State Police are in Memaliaj where we are waiting for clarification as soon as possible, the Local Police Directorate of Lezhë has just prevented a serious criminal event.
Thanks to the timely response, the firearms and remote-controlled mines, which were to be used, were seized and the suspected perpetrator was arrested in the act ," he writes.
