Andrea Kalemi was suspected of murdering businessman Edmond Papa in Tirana in December 2022, who was killed in revenge for the murder of Aleksander Sadikaj.
Andrea himself is reported to have escaped two assassination attempts in Greece. First he escaped an assassination attempt on an island where he was on holiday and another in prison when he was attacked with a knife. Meanwhile, in January of this year, Shyqyri Kalemi's other son, Zamir Kalemi, who was driving a smart car, was assassinated by a moving car in Tirana Ring Road. He was injured from this incident.
