Purging the people who had joined the criminal activity of the Lushnja gang, which for a long time was led by the powerful of that time Aldo Bare, was the main plan of Laert Haxhiu.

But after two failed assassination attempts against him, Haxhiu has chosen to change his strategy, eliminating one by one Aldo Bare's relatives, who had been released from prison and continued to live in Lushnjë.
In 2009 in Lushnja, Gerti Lala with the nickname "Iriqi", a soldier of Aldo Bare, was killed. After him, in 2019, Arben Boriçi, who had just been released from prison and continued to live in Lushnjë, was killed in Lushnjë.
It did not take long and in Peqin, on the banks of the "Shkumbin" river, Elton Mermali, another person convicted by Albanian justice, as a member of the Lushnja gang, was executed in complete disloyalty with a bullet to the head.
But the plans of Laert Haxhiu, to eliminate every thread of Aldo Bare in Lushnja, had no stopping.
He sets his sights on another character, such as Rexhep Gina, involved in the criminal file of the Lushnja Gang.
Gina was previously sentenced by the Court of Serious Crimes to 10 years in prison, related to the murder of Arben Kicja in 2005 in Lushnja.
After leaving prison, Gina lived a life between Greece and Lushnja, when during the period she came to the city, she stayed in the area called "Pilo Lala".
The silhouette of his movement had caught the eye of Laert Haxhi's informants, and for this reason he decided to implement the plan to kill Rexhep Gina, activating his shooter Artan Tafani and another person named Fatjon Veli who was known by the noka "Drama".
As SPAK associate Artan alias Marjus Tafani says, Laert Haxhiu met "Drama" in Vlora prison and in this murder he was the driver of the vehicle.
To kill Rexhep Gina, Tafani decides to do it by disguising herself as a woman, wearing a dress and a female wig. But in reality he did not commit the murder, although Rexhep approached Gina a few meters away.
"...I could have killed Rexhep Gina, because when I passed I was in front of him, but I didn't want to.
That's because Laerti had really pissed me off on the way there, calling me and yelling and cursing about the garage chip job. That's why I didn't kill Gina and lied to Laert Haxhiu...", said Tafani.
Tafani told SPAK that he received the order to kill the member of the Lushnja Gang, Rexhep Gina, from Laerti when they were together in Greece, with the motivation that he simply had to be killed.
In order to commit the murder of Gina, the gang led by Laert Haxhiu cancels another murder, such as that of a person named "Tani", who was the brother-in-law of Besnik Hida, killed on October 1, 2019 on the porch of a bar in the city of Lushnja.
According to Tafan, he wanted the killing of "Tani" because he had a lot of money and they were powerful in Lushnja.
In his testimony, Tafani stated the following:
"...Rexhep Gina, there was a bar in the "Pilo Lala" area.
During the time that Laerti was in Albania, in June 2021, Laerti told me that he wanted to kill a citizen named "Tani", who is the brother-in-law of Besnik Hida. He wanted to kill him because they were very powerful and had money.
He did not leave a specific task, but he only told me as a plan..."
But where he went to Greece on July 5, 2021 and returned on July 17, 2021, and while staying in Athens, Tafani met 3 times with Laertes in Athens, in an apartment he had there.
"...he took me with a black "Peugeot" car owned by "Jhino", whose full name is Juxhin Bajrami, with whom Laerti was caught in Ioannina recently.
In these 3 times that we have met, Laerti told me that for the moment we will allow the order of "Tani" and that Rexhep Gina had to be killed, after Laerti had found out that Rexhep had returned from abroad, it seems to me that he lived in Greece.
Laerti even showed me some photos of Rexhepi...".
As Tafani returned from Greece to Albania, he continued to talk to Laerti and he gave him information about Rexhep Gina. Laertes had ordered some men to guard Rexhepi and watch him.
Ederin, alias Artur Çaushi, a boy from Lushnja who used to go there from "Pilo Lala" and film Rexhepi when he saw him. He then took these videos to Laerti, and then Laerti took them to Artan Tafani.
"...Ilirjan or Lorenc Lala who they call "Lili" also gave information to Laerti about Rexhep Gina's movements.
It took some time that Rexhepi was no longer coming out. There were also checks from the Police and we left this conversation a bit out of hand. This event was planned and will take place at the beginning of July 2022.
For this event, at first it was thought that I would do it with "Luli", but "Luli" had been arrested at that time.
Therefore, I would do the event and a boy from Kuçova, whose name was Fatjon Veliu and nicknamed "Drama", aged 34-35, would be hired as the driver. Laerti knew this person, as he had previously had him in a prison cell in Vlora...".
As they took their weapons, a pistol and a Kalashnikov, Tafani and "Drama" headed towards Lushnja with the aim of finishing the job of killing Rexhep Gina.
"...I also took with me a modified and cut-off automatic type gun that had 30 rounds.
I left Tirana with black "Evo" gasoline, which we stole from that couple, and in Cerma I took "Drama" as a passenger.
On the way, I argued a lot with Laerti, on the phone, because he had left me an order to leave the garage chip in a place and I, out of stress, had forgotten. I was thinking about how I would do the murder, while Laertes was in trouble for the chip.
But this debate stressed me a lot..." - says the Associate of Justice, Artan Tafani.
While taking the "Drama" in Čerma, Tafani went to a place above the Lushnja cemetery, on top of the mountain, where he dressed as a woman.
“…I wore a long black women's skirt. A slightly long blue women's jacket, a mask with a human face without hair, to which we put make-up where we put eyelashes and eyebrows that were not there, a pair of long yellow wigs and black sneakers. I put the gun under my jacket. I sat back, the driver in the car was "Drama".
Laerti had an informant about this event, who was at Piro Lala's bar, where Rexhep Gina was also. Laerti told me that Rexhepi was there and we left.
We parked the car at the bridge of the river and "Drama" stayed inside, while I went out through the alleys, to a pharmacy in front of Piro Lala and had a field-view from the bar.
I took a walk around the bar and saw that Rexhep Gina was sitting alone at the table and next to him, 2 other people were sitting at another table, where one of them looked like Rexhep Gina's brother.
When I passed by, I was very close and I noticed that this person (who I thought was Rexhepi's brother) was constantly looking at me. I continued straight and saw that he was taken and went next to Rexhep.
This person sat next to a large pot of flowers that was there, as if he was going to take something, and then I left..." Artan Tafani said.
He then went to Drama", who was waiting for him by the car, and together they left Lushnja, while on the phone he told Laerti that he had not seen Rexhep Gina there.
"...I could have killed Rexhepi, because when I passed I was in front of him, but I didn't want to.
This is because Laerti had made me very angry on the way there when he called me on the phone and shouted and cursed. That's why I lied to him.
After I told Laert that it was not Rexhepi, he spoke to the informant, who had left the place.
The informant went again and told him that Rexhepi was not there.
It seems they spotted something and left, after I left. Laerti believed me and said: "...What a slave that he moved, and we didn't want to...".
