The photo of Nikollin Nika, the 42-year-old Albanian man who was killed after being hit in the neck with a screwdriver, is published.
The 42-year-old was found dead with 3 wounds to his neck, on a pavement in front of a bar on 'Viale Delle Vittoria', in Bettola, Italy, yesterday afternoon.
Neighboring media report that Nika is originally from Shkodra and lived for years in Bettola. He left behind his wife and two children, one 9 years old and the other born a year ago.
A few hours after the serious crime, the Italian police put a 62-year-old Albanian in handcuffs, as the suspected perpetrator of the murder of his compatriot. The suspect was arrested in his apartment, near the bar where Nika's murder took place. Even the 62-year-old is reported to have suffered some injuries on his face and arms, after there was a fight between them.
After interrogation, he was sent to prison and charged with intentional homicide, while it is known that he denied the charges. The dynamics and causes of the serious crime remain unclear, but it is thought that the fight started in the bar. The police have not yet found the weapon of the crime, a screwdriver, as they searched the bar.
The police also confiscated the cameras in the area, to discover more evidence and footage, if there are other people involved in the crime. The investigators have also questioned the bartender of the bar and are verifying for others.
